LUCIANO RABBONI BECOMES CAVALIERE DEL LAVORO
The President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella gives the award
This morning Luciano Rabboni received the award of Cavaliere del Lavoro, presented by President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella. Cavaliere del Lavoro is an important title that is dedicated only to Italian entrepreneurs who have demonstrated work in their sector for at least twenty years with independent leadership, and who have contributed to society through their job.
PreGel was born in 1967 thanks to Luciano Rabboni, who, at that time, was a biology professional with the genius intuition to develop new flavors for the gelato industry. With the support of his wife and his continuous research of creating revolutionary products for the confectionery industry, Rabboni became well known in the semi-finished products business and he changed the gelato world forever.
The economic growth, and social and innovative developments are not the only parameters that are required for the selection phases of the Order of Cavaliere del Lavoro, but they are also essential values of PreGel. In the last few months, we renewed our BRC Global Standard Food Safety and IFS Food Standard certifications with the maximum score, which guarantees the high quality and food safety of our products. In addition to this achievement, we have obtained the certification of Impresa Champion 2019 – Top Performing Company 2019, awarded by the Centro Studi Italy Post in collaboration with Economia of Corriere della Sera – an honor addressed to the companies that have reach a profitability that is above average in the last six years. For 2020, we have big ideas and positive thoughts that will be developed throughout our participation as Platinum Sponsor of the Gelato World Cup (Rimini Expo Center, Sigep 2020) and with the development of the innovative Polo Agroalimentare in Arceto of Scandiano (RE). The continuous research and desire for innovation brought Rabboni to realize the concept for this new logistic center for PreGel that will take place just a few kilometers away from the headquarters.
Today, Luciano Rabboni continues to guide the company in search of new innovative solutions for the gelato and pastry industries. With a workforce of 700 employees, more than 20 headquarters around the world, and two production sites (Italy and America), Luciano Rabboni remains dedicated to his belief in the growth of the foodservice sector in Italy and in all the world. For this reason, he has established an international training network dedicated to the development of gelato makers and pastry chefs called the International Training Centers.
