National Non-Profit, Icing Smiles, Partners with PreGel America, Creates Special Memories for Sick Children and Their Families

Icing Smiles, a national non-profit, is creating a lot of smiles with the help of caring local bakeries all over the country and supportive corporate partners like PreGel America. It is through their generosity that over 13,580 custom cakes have been delivered to critically ill kids and their siblings.

Delivering their first cake in 2010 to Violet, a beautiful 6-year-old battling brain cancer, Icing Smiles has since provided cakes to thousands of children across the country. “We understand that the simple things, like a birthday cake, are luxuries for a family battling illness,” said Tracy Quisenberry, Founder and Executive Director of Icing Smiles. “What we provide is so much more than cake. We serve up a reason to smile.” Icing Smiles, with the help of their amazing network of more than 8,600 volunteer cake bakers delivers an average of 230 cakes each month.

Quisenberry knows these numbers would not be possible without the support of corporate partners like PreGel America. “We are thrilled to partner with PreGel and align with their philosophy of combining great passion with amazing ingredients.”

Providing specialty dessert ingredient solutions, PreGel develops, manufactures and distributes authentic ingredients, toppings and fillings of the highest quality. “PreGel is truly honored to support such an amazing organization as Icing Smiles,” says Anna Pata, Director of Sales & Marketing, PreGel America. “We were moved by the humbling story of this organization and their overall goal to bring joy to sick children and their families with the gesture of a beautifully decorated cake made specifically to celebrate them. Given that PreGel is an enthusiastic supporter of the pastry industry and its talented and passionate chefs, our ideals parallel those of Icing Smiles to spread joy through artisan dessert, which makes this union perfectly fitting.”
