Sales Consultant, Northeast US Territory, Specialty Dessert Ingredients

JOB DUTIES:

Manage all sales-related activities for PreGel specialty dessert ingredient products for the Northeast (“NE”) US Territory (Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont), including researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new business, building rapport with clients, providing technical information, and preparing quotes/estimates.  Maintain and expand relationships with distributors/key accounts in the NE US Territory through routine visits and a consistent touch point cycle.  Use Salesforce and SAP software as a Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”) tool for tracking and recording sales, managing client interactions, recording regular account activities, and tracking current/future customers.  Use Zoho Meetings to carry out online meetings, help clients navigate our website, hold web conferences, work with colleagues, and negotiate with customers.  Execute plans and programs to achieve maximum sales volume and operating profit objectives while controlling costs and operating within budget.  Use Excel to prepare financial reports, including month-over-month comparisons and projections of future activity in the form of monthly/quarterly sales forecasts.  Monitor market performance (depletions, shipments, pricing, promotional materials), product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales.  Identify growth opportunities for existing clients by reviewing buying history and suggesting related/new products.  Meet and exceed profit goals, volume quotas, and equipment/service targets for PreGel in the NE US Territory.  Prepare/maintain annual territory budget, records, and sales and expense reports.  Prepare PowerPoint presentations to introduce PreGel offerings during meetings to potential clients.  Train clients and their employees on how to use PreGel products and maintain equipment by performing demonstrations and explaining product benefits.  Track Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”), including conversion rates, call rates, win rates, marketing collateral usage, average deal size, sales cycle length, and deal response time.  Work from home-based office and travel to customer sites within commuting distance in the NE US Territory.  Travel in excess of 50% required to customer locations as needed.

RATE OF PAY:

$51,000/year

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:  

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in business administration, marketing, or related field and minimum 2 years’ experience managing multiple customer accounts within a sales organization.  Must have experience: tracking Key Performance Indicators, including conversion rates, call rates, win rates, average deal size, and deal response time; preparing financial reports using Excel, including month-over-month comparisons, and monthly/quarterly sales forecasts; using Salesforce and SAP software to track and record sales, manage client interactions, record regular account activities, and track current/future customers; using Zoho Meetings to carry out online meetings and web conferences with customers; and preparing PowerPoint presentations to introduce company offerings during meetings to potential clients.  Opportunity to work in home-based position within commuting distance of customer sites within the Northeast US Territory.  Travel in excess of 50% required to customer locations as needed
