Job Summary

The Graphic Designer is an entry-level position responsible for creating a variety of projects in multiple stages; from concept and design, to layout and prepress production.  Other duties include but are not limited to: designing or creating graphics to meet specific promotional needs such as packaging, displays, logos, etc.; using a variety of mediums to achieve artistic or decorative effects; understanding the visions and values in order to most accurately portray the company in all marketing campaigns.  There are no supervisory duties related to this position.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design layouts, graphics and art for brochures, postcards, direct mails, flyers, handbills, magazine ads, point of sales signage, posters, banners, product catalogs and other marketing support materials based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts
  • Make multiple revisions on all projects
  • Prepress production on all files to prepare for print and ensure will print correctly; attend press checks  and review proofs
  • Research and comprehend current and developing marketing and design trends
  • Sketch, draw and conceptualize new ideas and designs for design briefs
  • Review proofs and final layouts making suggestions for improvements as needed
  • Learn and understand our companies products, services and branding in order to be able to create dynamic marketing pieces to help create demand for our products and help our customers understand our product and service offerings
  • Maintain communication with outside vendors regarding various jobs and  the progress of each
  • Assist in quoting process with various printing vendors
  • Confer with other team members on various projects that contain graphic elements; including internal and external events
  • Organize and maintain archive folders of images, photos and previous work products
  • Brainstorm, develop and conceptualize new innovative ideas to contribute toward departmental initiatives while maintaining corporate branding in all materials
  • Review, edit and provide insights on all design and marketing materials
  • Be a part of a creative brainstorm team for multifaceted projects
  • Support PreGel America in a variety of other duties and responsibilities as required by supervisor

Education, Work Experience and other requirements:

This position requires a minimum of a 2-4 year degree in graphic arts/design with 1-2 years of job related
