Job Summary

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for the set up and daily maintenance of the production floor processing equipment

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the set up and daily maintenance of the production floor processing equipment
  • Must respond to trouble calls from production in a timely manner to reduce production and equipment downtime
  • Perform maintenance work orders, as needed
  • Monitor general activity of the facility and report any areas of concern to the PM
  • Follow all government agencies guidelines, OSHA, Regulations and Safety Programs
  • Assist the Production Maintenance Technician as required
  • Adhere to the preventive and corrective maintenance programs as outlined by the manufacture
  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Work Experience and other requirements:

  • Associate degree in electrical and or controls.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in an industrial setting as an electrical technician
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals dealing with complicated and sophisticated equipment
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with PLC control systems and have knowledge of Allen Bradley controllers
  • Must be motivated, hardworking, team player, and possess a positive attitude
  • Must be hands on with ability to be physically active from light to heavy work with prolonged periods of standing, bending, or kneeling, and be able to be subjected to various environmental conditions
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Maintain knowledge of current Federal, State, and County codes and regulations involving construction, installation, fire, safety, and sanitation
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects and work within strict time frames and deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours
