Procurement Assistant

The Procurement Assistant is responsible for administrative and technical support related to purchasing and inventory
activities through accurate record keeping and tracking, reporting and order documentation preparation and receipt of
materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and Prepare Purchase Order Requisitions if needed for the Procurement Department.
  • Create Purchase Orders for Custom Cups.
  • Create Purchase Orders in SAP System for PreGel Italy Container’s from Packing List & Invoice.
  • Update & Maintain the Following Reports & Spreadsheets:
    • Raw Material Historical Pricing Spreadsheet along with notification to Procurement Manager &
      Procurement Agent as well as Accounting of Price Increases/Decreases.
    • On Demand/Discontinued Tracking Spreadsheet along with notification to Procurement Manager, Agent,
      Training Center, Sales & Marketing.
    • Special Order Tracking Report.
    • Custom Cup Order Tracking Report.
    • Update & Maintain SAP Product Transfers Spreadsheet.
    • Update & Maintain Incoming Report of PGI Items shipped and received.
  • Reporting – run the following monthly reports:
    • Monthly Sales History
    • Inventory – Finished Goods & Services
    • Expired Inventory
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures Binder.
  • Escort Shred Vendors through Facility.
  • Other Duties as Required by the Procurement Manager.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative role preferably in procurement
  • Must exhibit strong organizational skills
  • Possess the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office. (Excel, Power Point, and Word).
  • SAP knowledge a plus.

Required Education and Certification

  • Associates Degree or two years of related experience

Working Conditions
The work environment of the Procurement Assistant is primarily an onsite position in a climate-controlled
environment. The Procurement Assistant can expect the following working conditions:

  • Hours of work: 8:00am – 5:00pm EST
  • Continuous sitting, typing, reading, listening, and conversing with others in a close contact
    environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, and bending
  • Continuous computer screen exposure and office equipment, i.e. copier
  • In-frequent lifting and carrying up to fifteen pounds
